Technology has come a long way in the past 20 years, and it’s likely going to continue getting smaller and more powerful in the next 20 years. We’re going to take a look at some predictions of what’s going to happen technologically over the next couple decades. Technology 2014 to 2034
Here’s a look at some specific predictions for technology over the next twenty years – from 2014 to 2034.

Robots – Robotics have already come a long way, but robots and androids are going to become better in many different ways. From battery life to the way they look and interact with their surroundings, robots are going to go through a lot of changes over the next two decades.

Artificial Intelligence – This may not be fully figured out by 2034, but there’s a good chance that AI is going to advance quite a bit over the next couple of decades. Still, expect software to be able to pass the Turing Test soon.

Nanotechnology – Smaller is sometimes better. A lot of electronic devices that are large and bulky now will become tiny in the years ahead. Additionally, things like nano robots will become a reality.

Quantum Technology – Additionally, quantum computing is likely to become more common in the next few years. The first quantum computer has been built, but the next steps are going to be even more exciting in many ways.

Bio-Technology – Merging man and machine is also going to become more common in the years ahead. The cyborg may become a reality as people enhance their body and mind with electronics.

Alternative Energy – Because Peak Oil is a reality and will soon be with us, it’s going to become more important to perfect alternative energy sources. Whether that means solar or wind power or something even more exotic like cold fusion, expect different sources of energy to become more prevalent.

Architecture – In Dubai they have a tower that actually twists the floors around so residents have a new view when they wait just a little time. This is just one example of all the new types of architecture that will be common in 2034 and beyond.

Computers – Needless to say, computers are going to continue to become smaller and more powerful. Additionally, the prices will keep coming down most likely. Soon, everyone is going to be connected to the Internet in one way or another.
